The Liffey splits Dublin into Northside and Southside, and before long your map will show which side you favour. The Liffey Quays walks the river from Victoria Quay to North Wall Quay, and Across the Liffey counts the bridges on the way, from Heuston to the Samuel Beckett Bridge, with the Ha’penny Bridge in between.
South of the river, Georgian Squares takes you round Merrion Square, Fitzwilliam Square and St Stephen’s Green; north of it, Capel Street and Henry Street are waiting. Start with your own patch. Five areas cover the city, and on a grey, drizzly morning Soft Day Walker is there for the taking.
