Frequently asked questions
How much battery does tracking use?
While you record a walk, Every Street uses GPS, like any fitness app. With Auto walk on, it doesn’t use GPS
while you’re not walking: it waits until your phone’s motion sensors report walking, and only then turns on
precise location. A walk ends by itself a few minutes after you stop walking or get on a bus or train.
If you don’t need automatic walks, leave Auto walk off and start walks yourself.
How do I import walks I already made?
Open You › Import. Connect Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), and Every Street reads your walks,
hikes and runs with a route from there and saves the walks you record back to it. You can also import Strava’s
bulk data export (the zip file), your Google Timeline export, and GPX, TCX or FIT files of recorded activities.
Planned routes without timestamps, like the route downloads of route planners, can’t be imported.
Walks count for the city you have open: to import walks from another city, switch to it first.
Imported files are read on your phone. Nothing is uploaded.
What does Every Street know about me?
Nothing about where you walk. Your location, walks and progress stay on your phone. If you turn on “Share my
totals” for leaderboards and crews, your display name, home district and block counts are stored online, and
turning it off deletes them. If you agree to “Help improve Every Street”, the app sends anonymous usage
statistics and crash reports, without your location; you can turn that off in Settings › Privacy. Details: privacy policy.
A crew invite link doesn’t open the app
Open Every Street and enter the code from the invite under You › Crews. The code is the last part of the link
(…/join/AB12CD34).
Can you add my city?
Tell us which city you’d like to walk: [email protected]. Every city is built from OpenStreetMap data and gets its own
flavour (local street vocabulary, a signature street, sets to complete), so new cities take a while, but requests
decide which city comes next.
How do I delete my data?
Turn off “Share my totals” in You › Settings to delete everything online; uninstalling the app deletes
everything on your phone. Step by step: Delete your account and data.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 26 or later, and Android 9 or later. Every Street is coming soon to the App Store and Google
Play.

Schreib an [email protected]. Nenn uns
Was weiß Every Street über mich?
Links (…/join/AB12CD34).
Kommt meine Stadt dazu?
Sag uns, welche Stadt du laufen möchtest: [email protected].
Google Play.
